Package Name : WxStateManager

Provides state management (via Ignite or Redis) when running replicas, to ensure assets such as scheduler, listeners and polling notifications are only enabled in a single replica to avoid duplicate processing.

Installation

Include the package in your IS/MSR and configure the following environment variables

Configuration

WM_STATEMGR_DEPLOYMENT_ID

Unique identifier for deployment, only required if using a shared redis between different Deployment Sets

WM_STATEMGR_CHECKER_INTERVAL

Optional value, only required if users are expected to enable/disable schedulers, listeners etc from the containers themselves. In which case this will ensure that other replicas will be informed of the new ownership. Please note, that it is NOT recommended to manipulate containers in this way in production environments

Then depending on whether you want to use Redis or Ignite

Configuration required for Redis

Redis 8.0 or better is required. An example Kubernetes DeploymentSet is included in the resources directory for reference

WM_STATEMGR_REDIS_SERVER

IP address or addressable host name of the Redis server

WM_STATEMGR_REDIS_PORT

Configure the port, if default i.e. 6379, then not required

WM_STATEMGR_REDIS_AUTH_USER

Optional username if Redis access is secured

WM_STATEMGR_REDIS_AUTH_PASSWORD

Optional password if Redis access is secured

WM_STATEMGR_REDIS_KEY_EXPIRY

Value in seconds in which lock will auto-expire, this is useful to ensure crashed replicas do not leave locks behind

Ignite 3.1.0 or better is required

WM_STATEMGR_IGNITE_ENDPOINTS
